What to do in the event of a motor insurance claim?

1. If necessary, call the police (the police must be absolutely notified if anybody is injured).

2. If necessary, call an ambulance.

3. Establish the person responsible for the accident/collision and write a statement. The statement should contain the following:

  • Information on the date, time, place and circumstances of the event
  • Details of the person driving the car of the person responsible for the event,
  • Details of vehicles (makes, registration numbers),
  • Name and address of the insurance company in which the vehicle of the person responsible for the event is insured,
  • Liability policy number and expiry date

4. Call ML Assistance service from the scene (the benefits are contingent upon notifying the insurer immediately from the accident scene).


5. Notify the insurer and Millennium Leasing (attorney) of the accident/collision.

What to do in the event the leasing object or part of it is stolen?

If the vehicle, keys or accessories are stolen or the vehicle is vandalised, you need to

a/  immediately notify the closest Police unit (no later than within 12 hours of becoming aware of the incident)

What is the procedure for reporting a motor insurance claim – additional information

Please read the procedure for reporting a motor insurance claim consisting in a vehicle damage:

  • notify the Police and the Financing Party’s Insurance Company
  • the vehicle is inspected by the insurance company expert
  • have a repair shop provide a cost estimate
  • the cost estimate reviewed by the insurance company
  • file an application for approval of the loss adjustment and indemnity collection method
  • start the vehicle repair if the damage is not qualified as total loss.
